I haven’t blogged in a while so I thought it was about time for an update. The most significant news I have is that I have enrolled at the University of Central Florida for their Fall 2006 term. My major is definitely going to be Digital Media - but I’m still very unsure about my minor. I love photography and music.

In related news - I just got my first ‘real’ job in the mall at Picture People as a photographer. Pretty sweet, huh? I just hope it’s not a nightmare and I don’t get crying babies all day long and I’m instead blessed with cute, quiet children…

My family is traveling to NYC in late June so expect me to post a link to a photoset on Flickr after that as I plan on taking hundreds (if not thousands) of photos.

My recently acquired gadgets include a beautiful Wacom Tablet (Intuos 6×11) that I have been waiting for my entire life but STILL haven’t gotten around to creating anything special with do to the fact that it does take some getting used to and learning. With some birthday and graduation money I finally purchased myself a Telephoto lens for my Digital Rebel XT. I’m one to always go for the gold - there’s really no point in settling for less so I went all the way with a Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 DG. So far I’ve only used it once but we have many play dates scheduled (such as my NYC trip!) she is beautiful and has fantastic range and DOF! I highly recommend this lens if you are in the market for a great digital telephoto. My only complaint is how much it weighs - but I don’t think it weighs any more than it’s competitors. (Speaking of competitors - I don’t think Canon even has a ‘digital’ version of their 70-200mm telephoto yet, or do they?)
